How StackScan works, and what to do when something does not.
Scan a card
Pick the game in the menu at the top of the camera. Hold the card inside the brackets and tap anywhere on the screen, where it says Tap Here to Scan. The card lands in your stack at the bottom with its price. Keep tapping: scans run in the background.
Auto-Scan
Open the Auto-Scan tab and press Start. Show one card at a time; it scans once the card holds still. A repeat says Another copy added; press Undo if it was a mistake. In Settings, Auto-Scan sets how long a card must hold still: longer avoids double scans, shorter is faster.
Wrong card or printing
Every row says Sure, Check or Unsure. Tap Change to pick another printing from the likely matches. None of them right? Choose None of these, report it, so the scanner learns that card. When an unsure row is right, press This is right.
Finishes
Tap a row’s price to choose its finish: Normal, Reverse Holofoil or Holofoil (Foil for Riftbound and One Piece). The price and the TCGplayer CSV’s Condition follow your pick.
Export
Tap Export. At the top, choose where files go: Download, Computer or Discord.
- TCGplayer seller CSV: matched by TCGplayer Id, with condition, quantity and market price, for the Seller Portal.
- Mass Entry list: plain lines for TCGplayer’s Mass Entry box.
- Simple CSV: a plain spreadsheet of the stack.
Computer gives a link: getstackscan.com/x/ and a six-character code. Open it on your computer to download the file. It works for 24 hours.
Discord needs a webhook from your server: in Discord, Server Settings, Integrations, Webhooks, New Webhook, then Copy Webhook URL. Paste it in the Export sheet; exports post to that channel.
4K camera
In Settings, turn 4K camera on. 4K reads small collector numbers better; it also uses more battery, can warm the phone on long sessions, and sends more data per scan. It appears only on devices whose camera can do 4K.
