Terms of Service
Effective October 18, 2026.
The short version
StackScan scans trading cards, graded slabs and sealed products with your phone’s camera, prices them, and exports them for TCGplayer, eBay and Shopify. It works without an account. Its prices are estimates from other services, not appraisals. What you list, and where, is up to you.
Using StackScan
These terms cover getstackscan.com and the StackScan apps for iPhone and Android. Using any of them means you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use StackScan.
There is no account to make. Your stack, your settings and your inventory stay on your device, so keeping them, and exporting them before you delete the app, is up to you.
Prices are estimates
Prices come from TCGplayer, eBay, Card Ladder, PriceCharting and other services StackScan does not control. They can be late, missing or wrong, and a scan can name the wrong card or printing. A price in StackScan is an estimate: not an appraisal, not a grade, not an offer to buy or sell, and not financial advice. Check the card and its price before you buy, sell or trade it.
In Vendor mode, offers come from the rates you set. The deal you make is yours.
Your listings and exports
You are responsible for what you list and sell, and for every file you upload to TCGplayer, eBay, Shopify or anywhere else. Review each file before you upload it: the card, printing, condition, quantity and price. Those marketplaces have their own terms, and you agree to follow them. StackScan is not a party to any sale.
Links you share
Send to computer makes a link that anyone with its code can open for 24 hours. In Vendor mode, Share makes a link to your inventory that anyone with the link can open until you take it down. Share only what you are happy for anyone to see. You are responsible for what your links show, and StackScan may take down a link that breaks these terms.
Reports and photos
When you report a scan or confirm a match, the app sends its photo and details, as the privacy policy describes. You let StackScan keep and use them to improve recognition, including as a reference picture for that card. Send only photos you have the right to share.
Acceptable use
- Use StackScan through its apps and website.
- Do not scrape, copy or bulk download its card data, prices or pictures.
- Do not send automated requests to its server, or get around its limits.
- Do not try to break into, overload or disrupt the service.
- Do not use StackScan to break the law, to infringe anyone’s rights, or to mislead a buyer.
Names, cards and pictures
Card names, card pictures and the names of games and services belong to their owners. StackScan uses them only to identify cards and services, and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any of them. To report a copyright problem, see DMCA.
The service as is
StackScan is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability and fitness for a particular purpose. Features can change, pause or stop at any time.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, StackScan and the people who run it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, sales or data, that come from using StackScan, including a wrong match, a wrong price or a file you uploaded. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid StackScan, if anything, in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, and there they apply only as far as the law allows.
Ending use
You can stop using StackScan at any time. Deleting the app deletes what it keeps on your device. StackScan may block access, or take down links, that break these terms or put the service at risk.
App stores
If you got the app from the App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and StackScan, not Apple or Google, and the store’s own terms apply too.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. Using StackScan after that means you accept it.
